A Short Talk On Mental Disorders Which Most Face Today

Did you know that the lack of Vitamin D can provoke mental disorders in human beings? One of the famous universities in the United States of America recently conducted a survey on teenagers who don’t have enough of exposure to sunlight, which is the best form of vitamin D. experts say, such people are at great risk to receive diseases and mental disorders. The reason why this happens is because of the nutritional deficiency. Such cases could also lead to cancer, osteoporosis and even high blood pressure as well, say doctors. This is all because exposure to sunlight for these patients is not enough in their daily lives, say research specialists.

It is well known that when the skin is exposed to natural sunlight, Vitamin D is produced. Sadly, in this day and age when everyone wants a glowing and fair skin, they tend to avoid the sun or over use sun blocks and creams so that the sun doesn’t affect them, not many would want to venture out into the abundant rays of the sun which could be very beneficial for their needs. Fewer people actually go out into the sunshine and enjoy it today than what our ancestors did, say doctors studying the relationship between sunlight and mental disorders.

Some of us living in areas where sunlight is least, the deficiency of Vitamin D is very common. Men especially suffer from the deficiency the most since they have darker skin color as compared to women and the natural skin pigments don’t allow the sunlight to penetrate through the skin and hence the production of vitamin D is not done effectively. Sunlight is thus very important and by that we don’t mean one should roam endlessly in the sun and bake themselves to look like brownies at the end of the day. Even an hour of chores done outside would allow the production of vitamin D at large, think about it.

Sources say that light therapy and vibrational medicine should be taken seriously by western medicine practitioners. The public has to be educated and made aware of the benefits of sunshine in their daily lives, say experts. Sunlight with all its spectrums can offer great amounts of healing, say experts. Even NASA is now taking a look into the use of infra red light being useful to aid such healing programs. According to various experts even those who have wounds on their body, not more than sixty seconds of infrared light would be great to have around to help aid the healing process. This form of treatment is known as phototherapy and can help individuals who suffer from “seasonal affective disorder” or even with depression as well. Those who have undergone such treatment with full spectrum therapies have concluded that they have benefitted a lot from the process and recommend it to others as well.

Today you would find many suffering from mental disorders, and experts say ninety percent of the cases would be solved when people learn to appreciate the gift of nature, which is full spectrum rays of the sun available for free and in plenty.  Now ask yourself, is that why grandparents insisted that we go out and play in the sun!!
